Kate Kanabay

Kate is a partner in HMB’s Business and Finance Group. She handles M&A and acts as outside general counsel to private, middle-market businesses.

Kate splits her practice between transactions, general counsel work and regulatory compliance. Her clients—primarily privately-held manufacturing, distribution, restaurant/concessions and service companies—rely on her practical approach to negotiate and close transactions efficiently, and to maintain compliance with laws and contracts.

Organized, Practical and Efficient

Leveraging her background in litigation and years of experience in corporate work, Kate guides her clients through issues ranging from structuring sophisticated mergers and acquisitions to negotiating effective contracts to managing disputes, claims and litigation.
