Horwood Marcus & Berk attorneys Jeffrey Hechtman and Brian Axelrad presented "Protecting Ideas and People" at 1871, Chicago's tech hub located in the Merchandise Mart whose aim is to house, support, and promote burgeoning startup companies and entrepreneurs. Jeff and Brian's informal discussion addressed how startups and entrepreneurs can develop and protect confidential information and trade secrets while also managing relationships with co-founders, employees, vendors, partners and investors. Their presentation was part of an ongoing effort to bring in outside experts in the startup field as an added resource for the entrepreneurs of 1871.
