HMB is pleased to announce the appointment of Nathan E. Delman as the Vice Chair of the Bankruptcy and Reorganization Committee of the Chicago Bar Association (“CBA”). Nate was selected for his exceptional achievements and extensive experience in bankruptcy and reorganization law.

Nate advises a wide range of clients on business reorganization, committee representation and the protection of secured and unsecured creditors’ rights in insolvency matters. He represents creditors’ committees, liquidating trustees and Chapter 7 trustees and has over a decade of experience prosecuting and defending adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court. Nate is an active industry thought leader, frequently lecturing on bankruptcy matters on both local and national stages. He is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Turnaround Management Association and a past member of the Northern District of Illinois Bankruptcy Court Rules Advisory Committee.

Founded in 1874, the Chicago Bar Association is one of the oldest and most active metropolitan bar associations in the United States. The Association's voluntary membership of 17,000 consists largely of lawyers and judges from Cook County and the State of Illinois. The CBA Bankruptcy and Reorganization Committee considers matters relating to the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and its administration, including the rules of bankruptcy procedure and the local bankruptcy rules. The Committee serves several roles important to the practice of law in its areas of focus, including facilitating and developing conversations on important issues in the restructuring arena through committee meetings, public panel discussions and seminars.
