On September 19, 2013, Jordan M. Goodman and Marilyn A. Wethekam will be speaking at the 14th Annual Illinois State & Local Tax Conference. Their session, entitled "Survivor Ethics...Who Will Be the Last One" will explore the key tenets of ethical rules for attorneys and accountants working in the state tax arena, using vignettes and audience polling. Participants will learn through practical examples an understanding of ethical rules as they arise in the state tax context for both attorneys and accountants.

The Annual Illinois State & Local Tax Conference is presented by the Taxpayers' Federation of Illinois (TFI) and will be held this year at the Meridian Conference Center in Rolling Meadows, IL. Horwood Marcus & Berk is proud to be a Gold Level Sponsor of this year's event.

This year's conference will focus on technical tax and policy developments in Illinois, plus provide updates to changes occurring in other states.
