On April 8, 2014, Brian Axelrad participated in a panel discussion on "Legal & Practical Considerations of Investing Responsibly" as part of the Responsible Investing Symposium hosted by Northern Trust. Brian's specific topic of discussion during the panel was focused on direct investments and the parallels, contrasts and application of traditional private equity and venture capital investment processes and approaches with or to direct investments in the social impact space.

The symposium was a day-long conference focused on the broader topic of "Achieving Your Double Bottom Line: A Discussion on Themes, Trends and the Intellectual Capital Driving Responsible Investing."
