Kenneth Klassman

Kenny partners with commercial real estate developers and investors to ensure their real estate ventures excel in achieving their unique business goals. He is a partner in HMB's Real Estate and Business & Finance Groups.

Kenny's practice is deal-oriented across multiple disciplines, including real estate, financing, venture capital and mergers & acquisitions.

Kenny's core work involves:

  • Commercial leasing on behalf of REITs, landlords and tenants throughout the country
  • Acquisitions and dispositions, and leasing of commercial properties, including retail centers, office buildings, manufacturing facilities and multi-family apartment buildings
  • Financing on behalf of lenders, owners and business operators
  • Seed capital financing on behalf of venture funds, angel networks and companies taking such financing
  • Mergers, acquisitions and divestitures
  • Integration of estate planning tools for asset protection, tax planning and generational wealth transfer

Kenny's integrates each transaction into operating business's long-term goals and strategy, regardless of whether the business is an owner of real estate, an early stage company taking first-round financing, or an ongoing business focusing on growth. Kenny fully appreciates that real estate development companies are businesses; their product just happens to be real estate.

"The ideal client is a new business looking to build a strong foundation for future growth, or an existing business looking to break through to the next level. They are looking for a partner in their business, not just a risk analyst."

Regardless of the industry or the issues at hand, Kenny's approach to clients is always the same: advise on the big picture, understand how it affects the client's business goals and take all steps necessary to accomplish those goals.

Kenny lives in Bucktown with his wife and two sons. He is an avid enjoyer of life.
