  • fraud and white collar crime,
  • employment,
  • intellectual property,
  • technology,
  • antitrust,
  • estates and trusts,
  • land use/zoning,
  • securities, and
  • state and local tax.

Clients come from all business and public sectors, including:

  • accounting,
  • communications media,
  • energy,
  • entertainment,
  • financial institutions,
  • law,
  • restaurant/food service,
  • retail,
  • sports,
  • transportation, and
  • local and federal government.

Litigation Group members practice in all Illinois courts - state and federal - trial and appellate, and appear in courtrooms and before administrative agencies throughout the United States. They also handle alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration and mediation.

The Litigation Group works closely with the firm's transaction and tax practices, approaching business disputes as business problems to be resolved promptly and cost effectively. Since most disputes are settled, even a litigated matter is approached in a manner designed to identify and create opportunities for early, favorable resolution. Matters which cannot be so resolved are aggressively pursued through trial.
