Horwood Marcus & Berk's Robert Smoller and Stavros Giannoulias hosted a meeting of the Light the Night Volunteer Leadership Council of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at the HMB offices. Bob is the Chairman of the Volunteer Leadership Council, and Stavros has joined the Council this year as a member. Light the Night is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's nationwide annual fundraising walk, and the Illinois Chapter alone has a goal of raising $2 million for blood cancer research and support initiatives. As members of the Volunteer Leadership Council, Bob and Stavros will both take active roles in the committee's fundraising efforts as the local chapter prepares for its Light the Night walks on Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21, 2012.
